Doula of the Sacred Canyons

What is an End of Life Doula?

Just like a birth doula helping to bring life into this world, an End of Life Doula is a non-medical professional trained to provide emotional, physical, spiritual, and informational support to a patient and family before, during, and after death.

What is a Doulagivers Specialist?

A Doulagiver Specialist is a full-spectrum, non-medical, holistic end of life care practitioner with an End of Life Doula Training certification.

The MOST Important questions you could ever answer:

1. If your loved one got a terminal diagnosis today, would you know how to care for them?

Medicare states that 98% of hands on end of life care is done by family caregivers, even with hospice services on board.

There is help available.

2. Are you caring for an elderly parent and finding it hard to navigate this chapter?

Many people are finding themselves in the “sandwich generation,” caring for children and their elderly parents while working a full-time job.

I can help.

3. Do YOU have an aging well plan in place?

Life expectancy has almost doubled in the last 100 years. The elderly population is one of the fastest-growing demographics. With advanced age comes several potential challenges: physically, cognitively, and financially. We don't know how long we will live and what the circumstances will be when we do.

It is best practice and recommended to have Living Well Aging Plans A, B & C in place to cover all possibilities. Empower yourself by choosing what you want ahead of time.
